IT Business Analyst - GIS (m/w/x)
Location: Wien
Working hours: Full-time
As the IT of the REWE Group Austria, we work together with our more than 600 employees to develop innovative IT products and services for all our corporate divisions in Austria and abroad, setting the tone for modern trade. Within our CRM Data & Insights product family, you will work on projects and solutions for our existing and future data landscape.
As an Business Analyst in the Geographical Information Systems team, you are mainly responsible for gathering and translating Business requirements into User Stories for the development team. In addition, you will accompany developments in our domestic and international GIS application landscape.
Together we create the basis for data-driven decisions in REWE Group's CRM environment.
What you will work on
You act as an interface between our international business partners and our software developers and data engineers and participate in the development of a future-proof, modern, self-service GIS portal. Your tasks include:
- Requirements analysis and independent conception of new developments
- Development, administration and documentation of the applications and processes of our geographic information system
- Ongoing development of the GIS related reporting system
- Contact person for our national and international trading companies (BILLA, PENNY, BIPA and ADEG) for spatial issues
- Maintenance and updating of the GIS data warehouse (geodata, sociodemographic & socio-economic data)
What we are looking for
- University degree with a geographical focus or similar
- Sound GIS knowledge as well as experience with a desktop GIS (ArcGIS, QGIS, etc.)
- FME knowledge is an advantage
- Knowledge of SQL and familiarity with web mapping framework (Mapservice, Geoserver etc...)
- Experience in using visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, SAP Business Objects...)
- Strong conceptual, analytical and cartographic skills
- Independent, structured, customer-, team- and solution-oriented way of working
- Goal-oriented thinking and performance-oriented action
- Experience in the support and further development of corporate geographic information systems is an advantage
- Good written and spoken German & English
