Hitachi Rail in Austria is a full system provider and global supplier of route and train control technology and traffic management systems (e.g. Electronic interlockings, Field elements, Operation Control Centers and dispatching systems, European Train Control System (ETCS)).
As part of the route control product development team you are responsible for the technical coordination of the development and integration of components for new versions of interlocking solutions. YOUR CHALLENGE
- Technical coordination of development tasks within the framework of our new virtualized interlocking solutions Coordinating and leading a development team of ~10 people
- Definition of sub project plan regarding scope, timelines, efforts, costs and dependencies in strong cooperation with the program management
- Ensure technical project milestone fulfillment to achieve goals and meet or exceed customer expectations
- You are able to establish trust with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, eliminating non-value-added activities and blockers and also finding creative ways to accelerate project delivery
- Communicate status and critical issues clearly in a short and concise format
- Manage issues and risks, create mitigation plans and escalate to appropriate stakeholders as necessary
- Working in an international team and in cooperation with other business line units
- Working in the area of safety critical systems
- Contributing to a large integration project
YOUR PROFILE
- Technical education, preferably Master studies in Computer Science or similar
- Minimum 3 years experience with technical team management on engineering projects
- Minimum 5 years experience in private and/or public cloud environments (Openstack) and container technologies
- 3 years experience in agile development
- Knowledge of safety critical systems or experience in railway domain is an advantage
- Positive attitude and persistence are key to succeed in this role
- Competitive mindset, strong desire to achieve
- Excellent level of German and good level

- The salary for this position starts at EUR 70.000 gross p.a. Actual compensation is based on experience and qualification.
