Senior Reseacher - AI, Computer Science
Your Responsibilities
- Initiation and development of international and national leading-edge research funding applications (EU-Horizon/ERC, FFG "Leitprojekte", Josef Ressel Center, FWF, etc.)
- Management, coordination, and active participation in ongoing research projects
- Networking, initiation of corporate collaborations, and conducting contract research. Writing scientific publications in the context of conference contributions, seminars, and especially in peer-reviewed journals
- Planning and initiation of third-mission activities
- Supporting the research center's management in external representation and internal reporting within the university
- Teaching 4 semester hours per week in the degree programs Computer Science and Digital Communications
- Guiding scientific work and mentoring junior researchers at the research center
Your Profile
- Completed higher education (PhD preferred) in the field of Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Cyber-Physical Systems, or comparable studies
- Extensive experience in initiating and acquiring third-party funding or research funding, experience in writing project proposals, and leading and coordinating third-party funded research projects
- Multiple first and co-authorships in peer-reviewed scientific journals
- Excellent English language skills, German language skills C1
- Team orientation, excellent communication skills, flexibility
General Conditions
- Place of employment is at the location Vienna 10 - "Altes Landgut"
- Permanent employment with 39 hours per week and the opportunity to start a career as an Associate FH Professor (duration 3-4 years)
- The salary is based on the FH Campus Wien salary system and depends on previous relevant professional experience. The minimum salary with appropriate training is from EUR 3,905 gross per month (full-time basis, 39 hours per week) - FH Campus Wien is not subject to a collective agreement
- Bonuses for successfully acquired third-party funds and management of research projects
- Start of employment from June 2025
