Software Test Engineer (m/f)
Full-Time (38,5 h/W) - 1010 Vienna
As a Software Test Engineer in our QA Team, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of Altovas software products, used by thousands of customers worldwide. Your mission is to accelerate delivery while maintaining high standards, working closely with development and support teams. Your responsibilities will include test planning, execution, and automation.
Your Responsibilities:
- Develop test plans and test cases
- Execute automated and manual test suites, analyzing results
- Identify, document, and track bugs using a defect tracking system
- Verify bug fixes implemented by the development team
Your Profile:
Required Skills & Experience:
- Hands-on experience in software testing (ideally for Windows applications)
- Basic knowledge of shell scripting
- Familiarity with Linux OS
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
- Proficiency in English (written & spoken)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Appium
- Basic programming knowledge in Java or JavaScript
- Familiarity with WebdriverIO
- Experience with Appium drivers: Espresso (Android) and XCUITest (iOS)
- Experience with Eclipse and MS Visual Studio
- Basic understanding of C++
- Knowledge of SQL and relational databases (MS SQL Server, Oracle, IBM DB2)
- Familiarity with macOS
