Scientic Software Engineer (f/m/d)
To join our team in Bergheim, we are looking for a Scientific Software Engineer (f/m/d) who will design, develop, and optimize a mechanical simulation application and its tools and APIs. This application helps R&D mechanical engineers perform complex calculations to ensure the safety and reliability of cranes and access platforms. Your responsibilities
- Develop and enhance program features for our C#/.NET application, collaborating with mechanical engineers and software developers
- Implement and optimize calculation algorithms for numerical problems in structural and mechanical engineering
- Contribute to code improvements by supporting refactoring efforts to enhance performance, maintainability, and scalability
- Work closely with other software teams to manage dependencies and ensure seamless integration of software components
- Participate in knowledge sharing and skill development within an agile team environment
Your qualifications
- Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. A strong foundation in mechanical or structural engineering principles is advantageous. Alternatively, a degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering with proven expertise in software development is also considered
- Experience in developing and optimizing scientific or engineering applications
- Hands-on experience with C#/.NET applications; familiarity with scientific tools such as Matlab/Simulink, Ansys, RSTAB, or Nodya is a plus
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to engage effectively with engineers, managers, and external partners
- Fluent English skills; German skills are an advantage

Minimum yearly gross salary according to Austrian metal industry collective agreement is EUR 52.197,04 based on full-time employment. According to experience and qualification, we offer a market-conform overpayment.
