The department Payments Services is not only responsible for the smooth operation of national and international payment transactions but also for central compliance screening within the Erste Group. This makes us part of numerous national and international projects which are often pilot projects in the financial industry.
What to do:
- Design scalable, secure, and resilient business-critical solutions within Erste Group's payments infrastructure
- Continuously monitor the latest trends, technologies, and vendors as well as evaluate their potential
- Guide and support the implementation of technology solutions and ensure adherence to architectural principles
You check these boxes:
- Over 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure (networking, storage, servers, virtualization, cloud services).
- Some years of experience as an Enterprise IT Architect or a similar role
- Proven track record in designing and implementing resilient, scalable solutions across environments from mainframes to container platforms
- Strong knowledge of modeling languages and architecture frameworks (e.g., Archimate, UML, TOGAF)
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Google Cloud, AWS, Azure)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Very good knowledge of English, German skills are beneficial
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and manage change
Beneficial:
- Knowledge of SQL and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., Oracle, Postgres, Elasticsearch, Redis).
- Experience in administering IT infrastructure (e.g., Linux, application servers)

- A competitive and performance-related salary dependent on your professional and personal qualifications is granted - the minimum wage for this position in accordance with the respective collective agreement is EUR 62.790,-- gross per year.
