IT Business Analyst CRM Data (m/f/x)

Working hours: Full-time
As the IT of the REWE Group Austria, we work together with our more than 600 employees to develop innovative IT products and services for all our corporate divisions in Austria and abroad, setting the tone for modern trade.
Within our CRM Data & Insights product family, you will work on projects and solutions for our existing and future data landscape. This includes topics such as data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, but also the analysis and preparation of raw data for reporting.
As an IT Business Analyst in the CRM Data team, you are mainly responsible for gathering and translating Business requirements into User Stories for the development team. Therefore, a deeper technical background in the data field is an advantage to define more detailed technical requirements. Furthermore, you contribute to the team with a proactive approach by working directly with data and databases to enhance the team's knowledge and effectively manage our platform. Managing support cases is also occasionally part of your daily responsibilities.
Together we create the basis for data-driven decisions in REWE Group's CRM environment.
What you will work on
- In your role, you act as an interface between our business stakeholders, our software developers, data engineers and architects
- You are an expert at translating business requirements into technical language and presenting complex relationships in a simplified way for product owners and development teams
- You will identify potential for optimizing existing solutions and derive technical requirements as user stories
- You support your product team in implementing the requirements and carry out quality assurance tests together with the development team
- You support our business partners in their daily work and are available to provide advice
- You assist in the ongoing and upcoming modernization initiatives
- You ensure an understandable user documentation
- Managing support cases within the team is also part of your role
What we are looking for
- Several years of professional experience as a business analyst or requirements engineer in the field of data, data warehouse, data engineering
- In-depth technical experience in modern data solutions or experience as a data engineer would be an advantage
- Practical experience with Google Cloud Platform or the Snowflake Data Cloud is a benefit
- Interest in modern data architectures and a passion for data
- You are characterized by your analytical thinking and good understanding of business processes
- High level of personal responsibility and ability to learn new technologies in a fast-paced environment
- SQL is not a foreign language for you
- You have good communication and visualization skills
- You have a well thought-out and structured way of working
- You are an organizational talent and a team player with a hands-on mentality
- You have a good level of written and spoken English
