Finance Project/Technical Assistant to the Vice President Finance Continuous Improvement (m/f/x)

About the Role

We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Finance Project/Technical Assistant to support the Vice President of Finance, Continuous Improvement in managing the Finance Transformation Portfolio - a comprehensive set of initiatives designed to modernize and streamline financial processes, improve data accuracy and visibility, and enhance decision-making across the enterprise. This role combines program management, project execution, and executive communications to oversee the Finance Transformation Portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a detail-oriented approach and a hands-on attitude, who can balance big-picture thinking with meticulous attention to project details. Your Responsibilities

Support the VP Finance, Continuous Improvement

  • Assist the VP Finance in operational tasks, collaborating with various Functional Departments such as Magna IT, HR, Finance and Magna Groups and Divisions.
  • Prepare management presentations in English, tailored for executive audiences.

Project Management

  • Monitor and report on project progress, proactively identifying and mitigating risks to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Monitor and track project milestones, risks, and key deliverables.
  • Support the development and maintenance of reporting dashboards to provide the VP Finance and executive stakeholders with up-to-date insights on project progress and outcomes.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, IT, and Operations, to ensure seamless program execution.

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Support the engagement of stakeholders at all levels to foster a positive change environment.
  • Facilitate communications with project sponsors, steering committees, and executive stakeholders to align expectations and address any concerns.
  • Organize and manage meetings, prepare agendas, and ensure effective follow-up on action items.

Who we are looking for

  • University degree in Finance, Business Administration, IT or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in Finance functions of large corporates or relevant experience in the consulting sector.
  • Solid understanding of project management approaches, with experience working on cross-functional projects.
  • Proficiency in project management tools, preferably Asana, and data visualization software (e.g. Power BI) is a plus.
  • Strong skills in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint and MS Teams).
  • Fluent in German and English (verbal and written).

The minimum annual remuneration package for this position is a minimum of EUR 55.000,- with corresponding qualification. We offer attractive benefits (e.g. discretionary performance bonus, employee profit participation program, etc.) and a salary which is in line with market conditions depending on your skills and experience.

We provide 2 days/week Homeoffice. Regular travel up to 15% of the time.
