Erste's Cyber Defense Center (CDC) is performing a broad array of security activities and is responsible for governing and maintaining a secure and compliant IT landscape, especially in the digital banking area of Erste. We are now looking for an Information Security Intern to expand our team of likeminded security experts. A vibrant team and agile, savvy and multifunctional opportunities are waiting for you.

Your Tasks

• Support the review the Information security documentations of solutions and projects, defining risks based on IT risk management methods
• Give advice on Cyber Security topics and defense methods and develop best practice approaches for common security issues
• Research about current and planned regulations and legislature that has implications on information security and data privacy
• Raise awareness and as such act as the link between information & cyber security, data privacy, IT and business representatives

Your Background

• Ongoing studies at University/University of Applied Sciences with a background in IT and/or Cyber Security
• Knowledge about Cyber Security threats and defense methods, security architecture, -technologies and current developments
• Understanding of modern digital services, secure IT architecture, and their Cyber Security implications
• Willing to learn new technologies and take on new projects to grow your experience in different areas

Our Offer

• Exciting and challenging full-time (38.5h/week) or part-time internship (19.25h/week) as of January 2025 until December 2025
