The Payments Services Department is part of the Core Services division of Erste Digital. We are responsible not only for the smooth operation of national and international payment transactions but also for central compliance screening within the Erste Group. This makes us part of numerous national and international projects and often part of pilot projects in the financial industry.

What to do:
- Responsibility for the architecture and design of the central Erste Group Payments System
- Analysis and evaluation of the existing system architecture and identification of improvement potentials and enhancements
- Collaboration with the solution management team to design technical solutions that align with new specifications
- Continuous review and updating of the system architecture to meet changing requirements
- Ensure security, scalability, and performance of the Payments System
You check these boxes:
- Proven record of experience as a Mainframe Software Architect or in a similar position
- Extensive knowledge and experience in mainframe technologies and systems, specifically in Natural/Adabas or COBOL/DB2
- Expertise in designing and implementing concepts for complex software solutions
- Excellent problem-solving skills, an analytical thinking approach and the ability to dig through the most complex systems Strong communication skills both in English and German
- High personal initiative, the ability to work in a team and across a whole IT organization
Beneficial:
- Experience in banks and especially in the domain of Payments- or Coresystems
- Very good knowledge of IT-Security, Reliability and Quality-Requirements of critical systems
- Know-How in other Programming languages and technologies, such as Java, Kafka, Kubernetes,…

- A competitive and performance-related salary dependent on your professional and personal qualifications is granted - the minimum wage for this position in accordance with the respective collective agreement is EUR 60.844,-- gross per year.
